Shigaraki Coffee Cup
A cup perfect for enjoying coffee at home. Each cup comes individually with a matching saucer.
A minimal coffee cup design, featuring a relatively large handle that's easy to hold onto and comfortable in the hand.
Capacity: 200ml
Base diameter: approx. 5cm, Rim diameter: approx. 8cm
These plates are made in Shigaraki, a town renowned for its pottery, at Shigaraki Seinenryo. Shigaraki ware is known for its rustic, earthy character that lets the clay speak for itself. Rather than being fully controlled by human hands, it embraces the beauty that emerges from the interplay of clay and fire. With the Japanese belief that true beauty resides in imperfection, Shigaraki ware has been beloved in the world of tea ceremony for centuries.
As each piece is handmade, no two are exactly alike in appearance or specification. Some photos are for styling reference only; the actual product may differ slightly, with size variations of up to approximately 1cm.
Dishwasher safe. However, as Shigaraki ware is made with a coarser clay, it tends to absorb water more easily. To ensure long-lasting use, we recommend letting the piece dry thoroughly after each wash.
